At climb craft coaching, our goal is to provide a fully customized experience that allows climbers to reach their full potential. We believe that the key to improving your performance on the wall lies in identifying your own individual set of strengths and weaknesses, and then using scientifically proven training to target the areas that will allow you to reach your goals. Education and learning is a huge part of your coaching experience, and we aim to equip all our clients with skills and knowledge that allows them to continue on their own road to success.

Note that while all services are designed to be delivered online/remotely, sessions are available face-to-face in Natimuk (Arapiles), and on occasion in Melbourne. Contact us here to discuss options for in-person delivery.


8 week strength and conditioning program

Let us help you identify and address your performance deficits that are holding you back from achieving your climbing and bouldering goals. This package is suitable for applicants with some basic knowledge or experience in training for climbing, or other sports. Chat to us to find out if this program is suitable for you!

For a one time payment of $340, this package includes:

  • 45 min consult (online or in person) with Dr Ashlee Hendy
  • Self-directed assessment protocol (video instructions and personalised feedback included)
  • One page analysis and interpretation of assessment results to identify your target areas
  • 8 week program to address these target areas (video instructions and feedback included)
  • Tips and tricks for progressing after you complete the program

 

Suitable for intermediate and advanced climbers - not recommended for beginners


6 week one-on-one performance coaching

$395 AUD for consultations, assessments, and online interactive programming

Our most popular package, catering to any and all levels of experience, is our 100% individualized 6 week coaching package. This package provides physical, technical and mental support for your climbing performance in a hands-on, one-on-one setting. You'll get:

  • Online consult (45 mins) to identify target areas.
  • Physical assessment (1 hour in person or online).
  • 6 weeks access to TrueCoach training app with individualized program and daily support.
  • 3 x 20 min online one-on-one consults.
  • Optional post-training assessment.

Once you complete the 6 week program, you'll have the option to receive an additional 6 weeks of programming (either manually or via TrueCoach training app) in a 'hands-off' delivery mode for a discounted price of $175.

The 6 week package generally suits beginner to intermediate climbers, with high level 'hands-on' guidance and feedback on your training technique and form. Climbers with experience in hang board and resistance training will enjoy greater gains from the 12 week package.

 


12 week premium performance coaching (advanced and elite)

$495 AUD for consultations, assessments, and online interactive programming

For climbers who already know their way around a hang board and weights gym, our 12 week premium one-on-one performance package is designed to take you to the next level.  This 100% customised package provides physical, technical and mental support for your climbing performance in a one-on-one setting. You'll get:

  • Online consult (45 mins) to review current training and identify target areas.
  • Physical assessment (1 hour+ in person or online).
  • 12 week physical training program.
  • Analysis of technical and mental/strategical target areas as needed.
  • 12 weeks access to TrueCoach training app*
  • 6 x 30 min online one-on-one consults.
  • Optional post-training assessment.

One-off online consultation

$75 AUD for one hour session

Mental coaching and strategy

$320 for 6 week coaching package

If you find yourself frequently under performing despite a solid strength base, or unable to transition strength gains into notable sending milestones, it's time to look at your climbing through a new lens.

Far more than just 'fear of falling', this one-on-one package is individually tailored to the customer, so it's impossible to say exactly what your sessions will cover. Some popular areas to explore across your 6 x 1 hour consults include:

  • Fear of failure and performance anxiety
  • Appropriate goal setting
  • Strategy on and off the wall
  • Mental practice and motor imagery
  • Self-talk
  • Identity

Training the mental aspects of your climbing requires you to dig deep into the inner workings of your mind, on and off the wall. Be prepared to answer some tough questions, practice and utilize proven mental coaching strategies such as motor imagery and guided self-reflection. We recognize that effective mental coaching requires a certain level of 'click' between coach and athlete. As such, you can trial your first session for a one-off fee of $60, deductible from your 6 week package if you choose to continue.
